It’s almost July.
Normally, this would just be an excuse to whine about how quickly the year has flown by. But this year…. that means it is almost the month a new Harry Potter “book” comes out!!
*insert excited squealing sound effect here*
As one of the biggest Harry Potter literary fans around, I’m overly excited for a new book — even if it isn’t a book in the traditional sense.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child takes place nearly two decades after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The script of the play, currently being performed in London, has been put into book form and will be released on July 31 (Harry’s birthday).
Not much about the plot has been released, thank goodness. Here’s what Goodreads says about the plot: “While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted.”
I’m excited to read about this next generation of Harry Potter. I haven’t pre-ordered my copy yet because I’m not sure if there will be a release party I can attend and get my own copy at midnight or if ordering on Amazon and having it delivered would be better.
Are you a Potterhead? Have you pre-ordered your copy of Cursed Child? Where are you seeing the best prices? Let me know in the comments!
