My Wednesday wanna-read this week is sure to be a surprise to those of you who are dedicated readers.
(The previous sentence was laced with sarcasm…)
The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson is supposed to be in the thriller/mystery/suspense genre. So, naturally, it’s a book I’m interested in reading.
Ted and Lily meet on a plane and start drinking martinis to pass the time. They begin to indulge truths about their lives to each other and realize how dark they are when they discuss killing Ted’s wife.
From the Goodreads page: “From there, Ted and Lily’s twisted bond grows stronger as they plot Miranda’s demise, but soon these co-conspirators are embroiled in a game of cat-and-mouse–one they both cannot survive–with a shrewd and very determined detective on their tail.”
This just sounds like it is my type of read. With an average rating of just over four stars on Goodreads, it would appear I’m not the only one.
I recently checked this book out of my local library, so I have a feeling you’re going to be seeing a recent read post about this book in the near future!
