Can you imagine dying and being reborn over and over again? That’s the premise of my Wednesday Wanna-Read, Life After Life by Kate Atkinson.
I’ve never been one to read books about rebirth in the past, but Atkinson’s plot intrigues me. As it’s described on the book’s Goodreads page, “For as (the main character, Ursula) grows, she also dies, repeatedly, in any number of ways… In Ursula rests nothing less than the fate of civilization.”
Now that is a burden.
Reviews have described this book in glowing terms and it was a nominee for several book awards in 2013, including the Women’s Prize for Fiction.
While most of the books I read don’t usually reach quite that height of brow, this one sounds intriguing and I’m excited to give it a read at some point.
